1. Artwork Rights
I, the artist, retain full copyright to all of my artwork.
I only retain copyright of the artwork, while the copyright of the characters involved is retained by their respective owners.
My artwork may not be copied, reproduced, traced, edited, referenced, used or reuploaded in any way without my written permission.
I retain commercial rights to all of my artwork.
All my art may be used in advertising and/or potential digital collections (with due credit to the characters' owners), but no physical merch will be created using art that involves clients' original characters without their explicit written consent.
My artwork may not be used for commercial purposes/reselling/advertising/branding/making any profit without my explicit written permission.
Artwork ordered specifically for commercial purposes will be subject to a one-time license fee or royalty payment, depending on the project and use intended for it.
The exact contract will be discussed with the individual client.
Commercial use licenses are non-transferable and exclusive to the original client, and proper credit will still be required.
I retain full display rights.
At my discretion, all artwork may be posted to any and all of my galleries, used in personal promotional material, and potentially have its process livestreamed/recorded/shared publicly, unless previously agreed otherwise.
My art cannot be reposted without my permission and direct credit/my watermark/signature.
Fanart may be reposted, but credit must be direct and clear and the image must not be cropped/edited/without my signature.
When crediting with permission, you may link to my active social media, my website, or credit under the name WhitewingsArt.
All and any artwork I've ever created, be it personal, free or commissioned, are not to be associated in any way with non fungible tokens, cryptocurrency or anything blockchain-based, nor to be used in/to train "Artificial Intelligence" image generators of any kind.
This sort of use of my work is strictly prohibited and will lead to the immediate and permanent blacklisting of all parties involved, regardless of its intent. Please report any of these activities to me promptly.
I reserve the right to refuse a commission at any time, for any reason, without obligation of justification.
I reserve the right to change any and all information on this page at any time without warning. Only previous written agreements won't be voided unless specifically addressed.
Owners of the characters have the same rights and obligations as clients themselves, regardless of how they received the art made by me.
Clients and owners of the characters are allowed to repost their paid-for artwork and use it in any personal way they desire, as long as they don’t claim it as their own, meaning that my watermark/signature is visible and/or I’m credited.
Clients have the right to edit their artwork by cropping and resizing for personal use.
Any other edits are prohibited without explicit permission, so if want to heavily modify my art (i.e. color lines, draw in other parts, etc), please contact me first for approval.
Edits done through image generators or anything tied to machine learning will lead to the immediate and permanent blacklisting of all parties involved.
Clients are allowed to use their paid-for artwork for personal/non-profit use only, which include limited runs of free merch (i. e. prints, stickers, personal/group shirt, etc).
Mass production of free merch and/or use in commercially-relevant settings/branding may not be done without my explicit permission.
Artwork made by me can be included with due credit in the resale/trade/gift/passage of ownership of the character they were drawn for, and the new owner will inherit the same rights to the artwork in question with the respective obligations.
Most of my artwork will have my signature and/or my watermark. Clean full-quality versions of the artwork provided to the clients are for personal use only and are not to be posted anywhere.
When commissioning me, you're paying for a service that results in digital goods, not the digital goods themselves.
The expertise and time already applied to the commission process are non-refundable, meaning that completed commissions are not eligible for refunds.
In the event of a full refund, the clients lose all rights to the artwork they initially paid for.
In the event of chargeback fraud, the clients involved will lose all rights to the artwork and be blacklisted, unless the situation is promptly addressed and compensated for.
Work files are not provided unless explicitly asked for by the client, and they are not guaranteed to be delivered at all or exist past a year since completion.
2. Behavior and Respect
You must be 18 years old or older to commission me.
Repeated infringement of my ToS and serious violations will automatically cancel your order and refund you. If deemed necessary, I will put you on my blacklist.
Rudeness, harassment, violation of boundaries, stalking and any illegal behavior towards me or any other party involved in my business will result in direct blacklisting with no appeal. History of scamming and aforementioned behavior will have the same result.
I do not haggle. Discounts/offers are decided solely by me.
Please check my public queue before asking for updates.
Not all time dedicated to art is part of work days, meaning that personal art and projects will be worked on in-between paid work. Clients are expected to respect this, as it is necessary to avoid burnout and the artist will do their best to remain on schedule regardless.
A commission transaction does not grant you further social interactions, please respect boundaries.
I am only responsible for my own mistakes, meaning that I'm not liable for mistakes on your part.
I do not take responsibility in the event of improper use of someone else's character, be it stolen or used without permission. In case of suspicion, I will require proof of ownership of a character or a written permission for orders that include someone else's character.
I do not work with people who use AI-generated images or anything related to web3, nor wish to be associated with them. This includes references and examples.
3. Commission Process
This is the recap of the Commission Info page, which is to be considered an expansion of this section of my Terms of Service.
Unless stated otherwise, the use of the provided forms is required to make the process faster and keep all relevant information in one easy-to-access place for both parties.
I do NOT: reserve slots, offer rush orders, work with deadlines, do surprise commissions.
My work hours are available in my Schedule.
Fair warning, it might not be always accurate due to external causes, and some hours will be dedicated to communication.
All communication regarding commission work is to be done through email, unless stated otherwise.
Work emails are checked and responded to within work hours only, usually within a couple of business days.
During regular openings, commission requests go through a selection and are not first-come, first-serve.
If you're selected, I will contact you privately to confirm the price quote and address any additional questions.
Failing to respond or pay within the indicated time frame after being selected for a commission will result in your slot being voided. This applies to auction winners as well, but they will additionally get blacklisted.
WIPs will be sent out regularly as I work on a piece and require feedback. Certain commissions are exempt.
It's the client's responsibility to notify me of needed adjustments at each stage, as major edits can only be requested during the initial phases.
Once the image has reached the coloring phase, major edits will be considered case-by-case and may be subjected to fees at my discretion.
In the event of no client response to WIP updates, a reminder will be sent after 72 hours, and the commission will be stalled until it's the only one left in the queue.
Without any response for over a week, I may continue working on it to clear my queue or offer a refund at my discretion.
If you're unable to give feedback within that timeframe, please let me know beforehand or with a quick message.
Giving me artistic freedom means that you’ll probably get your commission done faster, but it also means that you trust me with it and that major edits won’t be possible once the artwork is completed.
Edits required by my own mistakes will always be free of charge.
Generally, edits won’t be allowed on completed and approved pieces, but additional minor edits are up for discussion within the year since completion.
Turnaround time is usually much quicker, but please allow at least 4-8 weeks from the day of invoice payment for it to be completed.
I retain the right to re-use at my discretion any sketch you refuse for your commission.
4. Payment
All payments must be made in EURO (€) via PayPal invoices, unless stated otherwise.
Payments must be sent within 48 hours of receiving the invoice or payment details, unless previously agreed otherwise. Failing to pay within the agreed time frame will result in the order being voided.
Full payment must be sent either upfront or right after the sketch phase has concluded. Further work won't be done until the full payment has been received.
For tracking and safety reasons, I will be the one sending an invoice. NEVER send the payment without my approval.
In case something needs to be shipped, shipping costs will be discussed with the client and calculated into the price. Eventual customs are on the client.
Tips are not necessary, but always appreciated. Donations can be directed towards my Ko-Fi page.
5. Refunds
Full refund: If I decide to cancel a paid order (for any reasons) or I have not started your commission within your request of refund, you will get a 100% refund.
Partial refund: If you (customer) decide to cancel a paid order that has already been worked on, you will get a partial refund (depending on the progress made) and receive privately what has been worked on up to that point.
Refund refusal: No refund will be provided once the order has been finished.
DO NOT take your money back on Paypal without asking me for a refund first, as both of us could run into issues with Paypal. If you let me handle the refund, you’ll get your money back faster and without losing PayPal’s fees. In the event of chargebacks issued by the client or their bank service, the related fees must be compensated by the client.
In case of a full refund, I retain the right to re-use the cancelled commission in its entirety or parts thereof, be it for a YCH or other artwork.
Please don't commission me if there is a known chance you'd need the money. While I won't withold money if things suddenly go wrong, it's not fair to me or any other artist if you suddenly need the money back because you didn't think ahead.

Commission Info
An in-depth guide on my commission process.
A. General
This page is the extended version of Section 3. of my Terms of Service, and as such it's considered part of them.
By commissioning me, you automatically agree to my Terms of Service, so make sure to read them first.
If you still have any questions after reading this page, please contact me!
• 1. General commissions
Regular commissions openings, Your Character Here (YCH), auctions and special openings are usually advertised in advance and announced simultaneously on my Telegram channel, Bluesky and Furaffinity.
Slot amount, available commission types, and specific details/rules may change every time.
Since I don't reserve slots, make sure to follow me on my platforms to stay updated or ask to be added to a notification list!Keep in mind that, in order to keep my queue and wait times within a comfortable limit and avoid burnout, I tend to take few slots per opening and not to do "first come, first-serve".
• 1b. Commission inquiries (2026 only)
While I don't usually take commissions outside of regular openings, due to particular circumstances for the 2026 year, I'll be allowing inquiries for commissions at any time!
If you have an idea for a custom commission and are serious about it, just fill this form with the details or contact me directly! Additionally, off-menu projects can be asked for through inquiries!
If I'm interested in the project, I'll give you a quote, and if I'm available at the time, I may decide to proceed with the order outside of regular openings.
If I happen to be busy at the time, you'll still get a quote (valid until the next matching regular opening, where it'll be accepted automatically) and I'll be contacting you the moment I'm free to work on it!Please be aware that sending an inquiry does not mean I will automatically accept your commission, as everything is on an extremely case-by-case basis.
• 2. Work hours
My work hours are kept updated in my Schedule, but keep in mind that it might not be always accurate due to external causes (health, IRL issues, emergencies, other priorities, etc). Additionally, some work hours will be dedicated to communication.
Any major disruption to my schedule will be promptly notified to current clients, marked in the dedicated page and mentioned in my socials if necessary.
• 3. Rush orders
I do NOT offer them, nor work with defined deadlines.
If there's a deadline you'd like me to meet, please make sure to commission me within a reasonable time frame and mention it when applying.
I will try to prioritize the commission in my queue, but I will not rush it.
B. Communication
All communication regarding commission work is to be done through email, unless stated or agreed otherwise.
In the case of YCH and special openings, a copy of the information exchanged elsewhere will be sent to the client's email, so that they can check for missing details and finalize the commission order.
Please make sure to check spam folders regularly, as sometimes emails may end up there.Work emails are checked and responded to only within work hours (usually at the start and at the end of the day), with replies being generally sent out within a couple of business days.
My Public Queue is updated regularly and will mark any required or current action on either part. Please check it before asking for updates.
Correspondence must be held in English or Italian. If you're using a translator program or generally struggle with English, please let me know so I can speak in a simpler way and clarify things when necessary! Please keep in mind that a commission transaction does not grant you further social interactions, and you'll be expected to respect boundaries.
I will reply to Telegram messages, BlueSky DMs, Discord DMs and FurAffinity notes only to address inquiries, redirect further business communication to email, or to send reminders to check emails.
If you send inquiries through socials, please skip the small talk and get to the point right away ("Hi" and similar messages may be ignored until something else is said), but keep in mind that any further interaction will be at my discretion, as I try to keep my work and social lives separated.
I do not reply to all comments and messages over socials. While I tend to read all of them and try to answer all questions, please don't take it personally if I don't reply and do write me again if I missed something important.
C. Commission Process
• 1. Commission details
A properly filled-in application will improve your chance of being selected and speed up the process.
Keep in mind that the prices indicated on this site are just a baseline. Depending on the complexity of the subject, the final price might be higher. If you have a specific idea in mind, please be clear, detailed and concise when describing it.
Use of punctuated lists, doodles and extra references for poses/body type/backgrounds/etc are highly encouraged to fully get the idea across.
If you don't know what you want exactly, you can give me just a few keywords or artistic freedom. If you want a commission involving someone else's characters, I may require written permission from the owner depending on the theme, either from the commissioner or the owner directly.
As such, I don't do surprise gift commissions.
If you want your commission to still be a partial surprise, just let me know and I will not specify what it is on my queue nor post WIPs of it.You may ask for the commission process to be livestreamed/recorded, but it will be at my own discretion, as it's not something I can promise.
You may also ask me specifically not to do either of those things or not to share WIPs publicly, and I will respect that regardless of reason.Additional contacts are required by the form for tagging/crediting purposes and the ability to contact you for reminders to check your emails.
• 2. Reference sheets
Visual references are required to commission me.
I do not work with written references alone, unless the character has a very simple design (i.e. a white wolf with black tailtip and blue eyes), it’s a reference sheet commission (with design fee) or you give me artistic freedom for the design.
If you don’t have a proper reference, you can use a free lineart in order to show me at least the general design of the character, as well as making a palette for the proper colors.Flat colored references are preferred, but palette/hex codes will do too.
If you provide only art with shading or rendered 3D models, please understand that extra feedback may be required as markings and colors could be hard to read properly. Please avoid sending art/pics with intense/bad lighting that makes it hard to understand markings and colors.
If missing in the reference, please clarify details such as flesh/skin/tongue color, exact species, gender presentation, etc if they're relevant to the commission. If changes have been made to the character's design and are not portrayed in the provided references, please let me know in the form.Be sure to send in the full-resolution, high-quality reference to avoid losing details or gaining artifacts in compression.
Please be aware that, while I always color-pick from the provided references in order to be as accurate as possible, I reserve the right to make minor color adjustments in case it's needed for the artwork and that rendering will impact the final colors. If you have a valid reason for the art to be fully color-accurate, let me know!I do not work with AI-generated images. Full stop.
Even giving them as reference will result in your order being declined, sorry.
• 3. Placing an order
During regular openings, I use Google Forms to make the process faster and keep all relevant information in one easy-to-access place for both parties. Other types of opening may require a different application process.
All commission requests go through a selection process. and are not first come, first serve. If you're selected for a slot, I will contact you through the indicated e-mail to confirm the price quote and address additional questions.
You'll have 48 hours to reply, otherwise your order will be voided, and another applicant will be picked.
Once the order is confirmed, an invoice will be sent to the provided email and you'll be expected to pay within 48 hours, unless previously agreed otherwise.Failing to pay within the agreed time frame will result in the order being voided, and another applicant will be picked. This applies to auction winners as well, but they will additionally get blacklisted.
If you're not selected, please do apply again!
• 4. Draft and approval phase
Once the order is confirmed and paid for, it will be added to my public queue and I will start work on the draft, which will be sent out as soon as possible.
When necessary, I'll work on some thumbnails first to explore the layout and general pose of the commission. For easier orders or once a direction is picked, I'll start with the rough draft.
The client can ask for any kind of edit during the approval phase. Please note that rejected drafts at this stage may be reused for other artwork.
Once the draft is approved, the order will be worked on according to queue.
• 5. WIP [Work In Progress] phase
Clients will receive WIPs of their commission regularly.
I will send WIPs as often as I deem appropriate, depending on the amount of progress done or necessity of feedback.
Usual milestones are the rough draft, refined sketch, flat colors and major rendering and background steps, if applicable to the commission in question.
Certain commission types don't include WIPs past the approval phase, unless deemed necessary by me.
WIPs will be sent in low resolution and/or with invasive watermarks.Clients will be able to ask for one free major edit (substantial pose change, changes to a good portion of the image, large edits based on information not included in the initial application, etc) during the draft phase, then a few more free small edits (limb positioning, expression, etc) before the sketch lines are finalized.
Once the lines have been finalized, the only edits available for free will be markings/color adjustments and addition/removal of small details that won't compromise the rest of the piece.
Additional major edits or lots of small edits will be considered case-by-case and may be subjected to fees at my discretion.
Edits required by my own mistakes will always be free of charge.
Giving me artistic freedom means that you’ll probably get your commission done faster, but it also means that you fully trust me with it and that major edits won’t be possible once the artwork is completed.
Please refer to section D.2. for more info on edit fees.In the event of no reply to WIP updates, a reminder will be sent after 72 hours, and the commission will be put on pause until it's the only one left in the queue.
Without any response for over a week, I may continue working on it to clear my queue or offer a refund at my discretion.
If you're unable to give feedback within that timeframe, please let me know beforehand or with a quick message.
• 6. Turnaround time
My Public Queue is updated regularly, so please refer to it before asking for updates on your order.
My turnaround time for commissions is usually much quicker, but please allow at least 4-8 weeks from the day of invoice payment for it to be completed.
Bigger commissions may require a longer time to be completed depending on my queue and their complexity, but details about the relevant time frame will be directly discussed with the client.
If your commission has not been completed after the agreed time frame and no updates have been given for at least 4 weeks, feel free to note me to ask for its progress or for a full refund. As per section A.3., I don't work under defined deadlines.
While I will try to meet any ideal deadline if the client's order is placed within a reasonable time frame, I will never do rush orders and I won't be responsible in case of failure to meet it.Commissions, YCHs and any paid work share the same priority in my queue, above other art.
However, the order in which they're worked on is flexible depending on a few factors, such as feedback and response time, overall time of completion (smaller/similar pieces might be completed in batches), efficiency and availability of work hours, etc.
In the event of any substantial delay, I'll promptly communicate it to the clients, as well as marking it in my Schedule and mention it in my socials if necessary. Not all time dedicated to art is part of work days, meaning that personal art and projects will be worked on in-between paid work.
Clients are expected to respect this, as it is necessary to avoid burnout and I will do my best to remain on schedule regardless.
• 7. Delivery
Once the artwork is finished and you give the final okay, you will receive the following files through email:
• full-resolution .png without watermark for personal use
• full-resolution .png with watermark for public use
• lower-resolution .png with watermark for ease of posting
• (for transparent files) lower-resolution .png with watermark and solid background, for sites that do not support transparency
• (if applicable/requested) additional versions with lower resolution or custom formats, for ease of posting
• (if requested) CMYK .jpeg for printing purposes
Further additional size/format versions may be requested by the client in the application form or before delivery.Minor edits on completed work are up for discussion within the year since completion, at an additional fee depending on complexity.
Past that time frame, it's on case-by-case basis, as I may not have access to the full work files anymore.
